ASICS is hiring a digital trade marketing coordinator

The ASICS Europe digital communications team is hiring: we’re looking for an awesome digital trade marketing coordinator, someone who can help online retailers sell our products more successfully.

As digital trade marketing coordinator, carry out the ASICS and Onitsuka Tiger digital communications strategy for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa, and particularly:

  • develop, distribute and maintain online sales support assets (product descriptions, product photography, technology descriptions, mood imagery, online shop-in-shop systems, advertising partnership, e-CRM activities and direct mail, product data feeds), and in particular the delivery of product and collection support packages, for use on non-ASICS sites (online retailers mostly) (50%)
  • run the digital activities of the Expert Club program (develop services, coordinate their production and maintenance, support end users directly and through sales staff, promote use) (10%)
  • improve the brand and product presence on third-party sites (develop, implement and maintain product and brand presentation guidelines, engage with all sites that make use of our trademarks and especially retailer sites, address abuses and refer continued breach to Legal for follow-up) (5%)
  • improve product and collection on ASICS web sites (presentation, navigation, promotion)

Planning, communication to stakeholders both internal (teammates, other teams) and external (countries, agencies and suppliers), and timely reviews of all activities (5%)

Analysis of usage patterns (web analytics), database of consumer information (CRM), industry intelligence, consumer research, reporting

Documentation, development and maintenance of the content management systems and other operation tools, and training and support of local digital communications staff

Developing and sharing best practices, valuable examples (both in and outside of the industry), interesting trends, to influence colleagues and key countries

Budget forecasting, maintenance and accounting, re-invoicing (5%)

Support company projects that require digital communications expertise

 

Results areas

  • KPIs:
    • sell-through of online shop of Experts Club members
    • new entrants to ASICS CRM through retailer channels
    • number of online stores using ASICS-supplied assets
    • number of complete product presentation packages delivered
  • Make best use of existing resources, both ASICS infrastructure and third-party services, wherever relevant. Focus on obtaining value from current infrastructure before developing new systems. Develop shared usage of infrastructure across Europe.
  • Gather content both from within the company as from external parties such as advertising agencies. Oversee translation when necessary. Oversee content timing and publication. Responsible for achieving projects on time, on schedule, and with adequate quality.
  • Prioritization and independent achievement of own tasks. Participation in team and department activities, including planning, budgeting, reporting.

 

Relation pattern

Internally
  • Report to digital communications manager
  • Close contact with sales department in Europe and in countries
  • Solidarity with digital communication team members, both European and country staff. Ability to back up colleagues for everyday activities
  • Share information, get feedback and gather content from marketing, product marketing, and retail
Externally
  • Key online retailers (customers): understand needs, support, guide into compliance with ASICS brand and product image objectives
  • Other online retailers and sites that use ASICS trademarks or product imagery: establish links of trust, guide into compliance
  • Subsidiaries and distributors: advice, coordination, training, support
  • Agencies and suppliers: briefing, coordination, execution

Job requirements

Basic competencies
  • Strong teamwork skills, ability to tackle conflicts in a productive manner
  • Flexibility to deal with evolving team and individual objectives and market conditions
  • Proactive, independent, responsible attitude
  • Good written and verbal communication (clear, accurate, complete, actionable) in English
Must have
  • Practice of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, image manipulation for web and email
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with web analytics, search engine optimization, user testing
  • Customer contact experience, strict professional behavior, strong empathy
Should have
  • Experience with e-commerce operations, preferably in the sport or fashion industries
  • Good process analyst, able to predictably produce output of constant quality
  • Ability to involve and motivate people across organizations
  • Experience with web content creation and maintenance
Like to have
  • Long-distance runner, practice of other sports
  • Sense of fashion and style, sneakerhead
  • Fluent in other European languages (esp. German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish)
  • Experience with online advertising
